This growth strategy focused on efficient specialization, where each member had a specific role which they can focus on and excel at, thereby creating a better experience for consumers and business partners. Konstantin believes in growing talent from within and is proud to announce that in 2019, C:TPM promoted Komal to mortgage agent. Komal has since become a very valuable source of knowledge within her professional network and has been able to build a name for herself as an experienced financing professional within the local community.

Our Strategy and Outreach

Throughout his career, Konstantin noticed a pattern of concerns that were the result of the changing demographics in Canada. Both Seniors, and Millennials were unsure of their futures regarding homeownership. As the cost of living rises, seniors are unsure if they can afford to stay in their homes, whereas Millennials are sceptical of their ability to qualify for their first mortgage. When another brokerage may ignore these demographics as dormant or too much work, Konstantin and C:TPM teamed up with their professional partners to create a series of complementary information sessions designed to drive purchase and sale activity where it otherwise was non-existent.

C:TPM is continuously engaged with their network of partners, creating information materials and process plans in order to help BFS, Unemployed, or Between Jobs clients move in the right direction. Konstantin uses his experience as a New Canadian or an Entrepreneur to get to the root causes of his client’s file. Where other brokers or lenders may see problematic files, Konstantin is consistently able to see the person, situation and opportunity.

Because of these ongoing education strategies, clients know all that is needed of them when they begin working with our Team. High approval to funding ratios have earned Pocket Mortgage the respect of many lenders in the industry.  C:TPM is continuously creating events and content to keep their audience up to date. Videos, infographics and educational literature are made in house and are customized as needed. Whenever something new happens in the industry, C:TPM’s materials will reflect the latest practices, rules, and regulations.

Original Content

Konstantin and C:TPM were also able to stay visible to lenders and consumers by creating and curating original and important media content via PRsonalities. PRsonalities was a boutique media channel focused on entrepreneurship, innovation and business. Konstantin and the Team were able to gather the attention of their ideal customer type (Bfs, commercial, private financing) by discussing LIVE some real life success stories amongst the entrepreneurs he knew locally. Some of the collaborations through PRsonalities didn’t only achieve 1000’s of views amongst C:TPM’s key demographic, but also converted into meaningful customer and business relationships. Last season of the show aired shortly after the 2020 pandemic started and was available on YouTube as well as all major audio podcasting platforms. However, as volumes of business surged following the COVID pandemic, it was decided to conclude the series that year.

The Challenge Ahead

During 2020, Pocket Mortgage saw the world change in unprecedented ways. Like all Canadians, we encountered challenges that we could never have imagined. However, like all Canadians, we looked within ourselves and to our community for ways to power through and get past Covid-19 Pandemic.

We saw the world “come back to normal” in 2021 only to get absorbed by highest inflation we’ve seen in decades followed by the war in Ukraine. As a result, the Bank of Canada have been raising interest rates aggressively since spring 2022 in an effort to curb inflation. It is not clear as to when will Canadians see any relief in the costs of borrowing, but one thing is clear – inflation will remain BOC’s main focus for quite some time.
